The Butler County Symphony opens its 66th season on Saturday, October 4 with “España” – an evening featuring Spanish selections and composers.

The concert begins at 7:30 pm and will be held at the Butler Intermediate High School, 551 Fairground Hill Road in Butler.

Tickets are available at the Symphony office, 259 South Main Street in Butler or by calling 724-283-1402. Individual tickets for this concert can be also be purchased by following this link or at the door.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students, plus a handling fee of $3 per adult ticket and $1.50 per student ticket if purchased through the ShowClix website. Handling fees of 50 cents per ticket for tickets purchased at the symphony office or at the door.

Butler Symphony Music Director & Conductor Matthew Kraemer will present a pre-concert lecture beginning at 6:30 pm. The lecture will include snippets of the music to be performed during the concert.

Selections include: Capriccio Espagnole by Rimsky-Korsakov, Concerto Aranjuez, by Rodrigo, Alborada del Gracioso by Ravel, Carmen, Suite 1 by Bizet and Three-Cornered Hat, Suite 2 by De Falla.

Guitarist Nicholas Goluses will be the guest artist.
