When the 2020-2021 Virtuoso Master Course began, I was looking for ways to engage and activate the community. Jennifer spoke up at one of our early events about a project designed to clarify peoples’ purpose, and offered to guide those who were interested through the process. Jennifer spoke with such a compelling and earnest desire to help others; it’s unsurprising that there were many interested!

Jennifer was passionate about bringing resources to the community. She gave participants a reason and a format for deep connection, providing a safe framework in which people could be vulnerable and honest with themselves and each other. The result has been extraordinary: the VMC community is bustling with robust friendships and the kind of support that comes from real trust and respect.

Since that initial offering, Jennifer has continued to provide a keen and kind ear coupled with brilliant and considered feedback to everyone she encounters. She brings with her an encyclopedic knowledge of problem-solving strategies that she tempers with her vast personal experience.

Jennifer has become known for asking “magical questions” that probe without assumption or judgment. I’ve seen so many people light up with insight and confidence as a result interacting with Jennifer, and I count myself one of the lucky who has been impacted by her remarkable spirit.

Anyone who is looking clarify what their heart’s desire is, anyone who hopes to get feedback and encouragement on how to realize that desire, anyone who knows the direction they want to go in but seek help to find the steps to take will benefit from working with Jennifer!

I’ve had violin lessons from Jen for a little over two years now, and I continue to be impressed by her patience, innovative teaching, and technical skill. Her enthusiasm for music and teaching were clear from day one. She is flexible, thoughtful, and clear in her instructions; she is careful to keep our practice varied but moving forward. I really appreciate her attention to all parts of playing violin – from music theory to developing my ear, from scales to recitals. I can’t recommend Jennifer highly enough.
